It's finally been confirmed that BioWare are working on Mass Effect 3 as we speak.

All sorts of Internet talk has been doing the rounds since Mass Effect 2 launched, with BioWare themselves adding to the furore with BioWare boss Ray Muzyka stating that the game was in pre-development earlier this year.

Thanks to Twitter,  BioWare’s Christina Norman confirmed the news by stating she was working on something for the game called “Project Wombat”.

In her tweet, she offers this tidbit;

“ME3 Trivia: Today I started work on “Project Wombat” for Mass Effect 3.”

In an earlier tweet, she stated that another oddly named project, that of the Sasquatch, was part of the development of Mass Effect 2.

No-one has yet confirmed anything, but we'll let you know when we do.
