Batman: Arkham City

All that stuff carries over so that you can carry on with the riddler stuff and other sidequests in NG+, it's arguably the best implementation of NG+ so far.

Glad you like it slicker, it really is a fantastic game, and a great addition to the Batman lore.

Are the Arkham Asylum/City comics worth a read? I see them on Comixology and I love this interpretation of Batman, as it reminds me of the classic 1992 cartoon, though obviously darker in tone.

Next on my backlog is RAGE.

I can't say I've read them. I've only read the following, they're in order of preference:

1. The Long Halloween - this is just fantastic; it's the only comic I've read several times, and will continue to read again.
2. The Killing Joke - it's short and sweet, but the artwork is stunning.
3. Batman: Year One - Yeah, it's another retelling of the origin story, but it's a good one. This and TLH are the clear inspiration for Nolan's movies.
4. The Dark Knight Returns - I'm in the minority on this one, as I think it's pretty shit. The plot is more Marvel than DC, it has a little girl as Robin, mutant people, and Superman. Oh and, Frank Miller's artwork is, in a word, shit.

Next on my backlog is RAGE.

Well, I got it for £10 and liked the demo. We'll find out!

My worry with big open world games (including B:AC) is that if I get side tracked, I might burn out and lose interest. Thankfully that never happened with Bat,an, but I worry it will happen with RAGE.

If it happens though, I can always start my NG+ on this.

Rage only appears to be open-world, it actually isn't.

I got really bored with RAGE around the middle of disc 2 (I think), all the missions are the same and the whole thing is really linear. Looks great though, it's a fantastic game engine.

Despite the weaker design, the Catwomen missions didn't ruin or break the game for me. They weren't needed, but I still enjoyed them.
