BlOps 2 the Future!

Looks like it started off as a seperate game then Activision decided it'd be the next CoD.

Well if I remember right, the deal is:

Infinity Ward = Modern Combat with serious element.
Treyarch = World War 2, Cold War and Future War with sci-fi element.

What I'm more surprised by is that they now have two franchises within a franchise: Modern Warfare and Black Ops. So, what is Call of Duty?

Exactly, it's nothing like what you expect from a CoD game. I guess that's why I had the impression that it started off as a separate game. Does the engine look like it's actually been updated as well?

I want to be excited for this because it looks somewhat different from the previous titles, but my mind is telling me that's a bad idea and to just let this one slide on by.

Well I think the Call of Duty is becoming more of a label than a series of games. MW2 and 3 were marketed as Modern Warfare more than Call of Duty and it appears they are doing the same with Black ops, just keeping the Call of Duty tag on it as a back up.

Plus is leaves the option that if MW or Black ops turns into a mega flop the CoD brand isn't harmed.

Looks cool, but not surprised. Expect it to be more of the same. Bit worried about some of the rumors going about regarding perks this time around as by the sounds of some of it, they could really knacker the multiplayer.

Still the same game engine really? REALLY?

I'll give it a rent when it comes out but the fact its a tweaked engine again does nothing for me.

I'm not buying it.

It's 2 days after Halo 4.

I've never bought a Call of Duty game, ever. I got Call of Duty 2 with my first Xbox because it was bundled with it, otherwise none. I'm glad, looking back now...

The last COD I bought was the first Modern Warfare but I've rented everyone since and will no doubt rent this as I find the SP pretty enjoyable. Also this will no doubt have Zombies which I enjoy also.

But... they're critically acclaimed and generally pretty awesome. Going against the grain for the sake of it? I DO NOT BELIEVE!

I love my job at the moment, making the Call of Duty fanboys aware that Black Ops 2 is coming out letting them get all excited before dropping the future bomb shell and watching them flip out is a beautiful thing
