Farcry 3

I remember the trailer for this at E3 looked like it might not be awful. I couldn't find a thread, so here is a new video.

Yeh the found footage thing has been over done of late, but this does look cool. Glad were back on an island.

5 minutes of gameplay

Looks great. Although it had its faults Far Cry 2 had some great moments. Hopefully they can expand on the good things the previous game did.

looks preety good. Loved the first one on PC, but never tried them on xbox.

During the beginning of the trailer I thought "wow, this looks really good!" but then the shooting parts started and I realised that the game is actually Farcry 2, just with a 3 instead of the 2. It looks exactly the same.

Not impressed. Graphically the gameplay didn't look that impressive. The more striking thing though was that the gunplay looked weightless like CoD, which to me just isn't as fun or engaging.

Far Cry was awesome. I actually liked Instincts/Predator, but I realise it's trashy. Far Cry 2 had some crippling flaws, but I liked what it tried to do. This (so far), doesn't rummage inside my pants.

Usually I wouldn't care, but the only thing that's bugging me right now is that the lead character is supposed to be this Everyman who finds himself pushed to the limit in an extreme circumstance... Apparently this means turning a regular guy into a superhuman Rambo. Which isn't sitting quite right with me.

I give them points for the dubstep beat during the action, that was cool.

Is that Nolan North, or a guy pretending to be him? It sounds like him, but he's not going: "OH CRAP, OH CRAP, OH CRAP"!

Just Googled... If it ain't him, everyone seems to think it is.

I thought COD with how the character moved and shot at enemies. No open island sandbox from what I could see just a very linear experience. Quite sad really farcry was a great game and they are shitting on it from a great height.
