If I was to buy a new xbox...

Postby NighteyesUK on Sat Jan 07, 2012 12:11 pm

Okay, so I'm considering getting a slim to replace my aged 20gb premium. If I was to, is it safe to assume I don't need one of those fandangled leads to transfer my saves? I can just use the cloud, surely?

The cloud or a USB stick would do it.

Just don't forget to do a DRM license transfer for your downloads.

Not every game is cloud compatible, and you only get 512 MB of storage. Something to keep in mind when you're a BioWare fan. A USB stick is an easier, faster and safer bet.

You could always borrow a transfer lead, I've got one somewhere.

Thanks for the replies everyone, and for the offer of the lead, gooner. :)

However, with the nextbox just round the corner, I reckon I may as well stick with my current machine and hope it holds out.

Just buy a cheap hard drive for your existing Xbox. You can pick up 120gb HDs dirt cheap on eBay

You do know "just around the corner" is at the least going to be the best part of 2 years right?
