Big iTunes related announcement due tomorrow at three.

Streaming iTunes? Please please please!

More likely it'll be something crappy if it hasn't got it's own Steve Show. I guess it's something like 90 second previews.

It's on the front of Apple.com so could be pretty big.

Many people seem to think it'll be a Beatles announcement. Bit crap if it is.

Yeah, if you like the Beatles enough then you'd have bought a CD and ripped it by now. I'd be a bit disappointed if it's only the beatles.

Exactly, there can't be anyone out there who doesn't already have a copy of whatever Beatles they want.
Maybe it's cloud storage?

I hope it isn't unless it's backed with a subscription service. As they'll probably only allow you to upload stuff you've bought from iTunes, which in my case is very little.

Seriously, all they need to do is spend 5 minutes with Spotify premium and then copy it. Add a little Apple design flare and they're done.

Good article here: http://www.crunchgear.com/2010/11/15/wi ... -tomorrow/

The missing link for streaming/cloud is offline caching for MP3 players and computers that don't have internet connections all the time.

£8-9 a month that's ~£100 a year, does anyone spend that much on music from iTunes now? I certainly don't. But I would on a subscription service.

It appears to be the Beatles: http://goo.gl/Gz9Fa

I hope that's not all, but looks like it could be.

Shame.

Yeah that's it.

But interesting theory. If there was a subscription coming soon then that could of prompted EMI/Apple Record into getting the Beatles on now to milk the cash cow one last time before it becomes worth less. Get it in stores for Xmas then announced subs in January with the new iPad, the "cloud" device.

Pretty big news, any changes to pricing or structure will only be made at a large Apple event I'm sure, not an announcement on the website.

As Cow suggested, I already have all the albums on CD, ripped them myself. It's not just the music as owning each album and it's artwork is of value to me as well.
