Thursday 27th September to Sunday 30th September, Earls Court, London.

"Early bird tickets" are now on sale.

£40 for the whole four days, with early entry (10am - 7pm).

£10 for an entire day (11am - 7pm).

£7.50 for an afternoon only (2pm - 7pm).

£12 for early entry (10am - 7pm) [Already sold out for each day except the Sunday]

£6 for Virgin Media customers, with early entry (10am - 7pm) [Not Saturday]


So... who's up for it this year?

I went last year, on the Friday. Loved it! It was also cool to meet some BXB people in person... DogEyedBoy, Nighteyes, Mobi, Noir, and Shadowman.


This year, my birthday is on the Friday... so I won't be going on that date! Don't think my wife would appreciate me spending my birthday at this instead of with her Then again, it is *my* birthday!

I will most likely go on the Saturday. I would have done the Saturday last year, but it had already sold out by the time I decided I wanted to go to the Expo.

Nothing has been announced yet, though: No games or exhibitors will be announced until 1st of June onwards... So I guess some people will wait for that before deciding.

I say Saturday. For the past few years, it's always been Friday but... it's kinda pointless to take the leave and get there insanely early because it's still busy and you can see most of what you want.

Yeah. Weekday means taking time off work and (for me) having to travel to London during crazy commuter times.


Fuck it: I've booked an all-day ticket for Saturday 29th. If it turns out that there's nothing there I want to see, once it gets announced, then I've only lost a tenner. If I leave it late like I did last year, the prices go up and I run the risk of the Saturday selling out again.

Damn, if I went then I'd have to go down on the Friday. That'd mean finding somewhere to stay for a night or 2. Deffos going to have to look into it properly...

Nighteyes came all the way from Wales last year, and attended on the Friday and Saturday. Not sure where Noir came from, but it was further than me IIRC. They both stayed at a nearby Travelodge I think (or somewhere like that).

Nighteyes and I stayed at the Earl's Court Ibis for 3 nights - I travelled over from Exeter. I'd recommend it - great location and there's a good cafe for breakfast and a fairly good kebab house nearby.

I'm still undecided on this year. I preferred the Expo itself the first time I went in 2009. The dev sessions are the make or break for me so I'm going to wait until they're announced and then pick up a ticket if they're still available.

Would really like to go this year. Baby is due 2nd July so with the caveat that the wife is happy with me going then I'll come along. Saving money want be a problem this time as I won't be able to go out for four months after the baby is born.


Hopefully Swans will have an away fixture in London that weekend, if that is the case I'll probably sack the expo off to go and watch them. No offence or anything
