I liked Crysis 2, but the console version felt a bit messed up to me. I didn't have as big a problem with the change of pace as some people. The second still has the nano suit, but it forces you into encounters whereas you could avoid some in Crysis. Or at least approach them from more angles.

Also, is Crysis 2 not worth bothering with?
Crysis 1 is like Far Cry with cooler tech, which is cool. To me Crysis 2 felt like Call of Duty with sci-fi upgrades. As Mobi said, the engine is quite a mess and for me (and a lot of people) the story is awful.
I wouldn't recommend Crysis 2 unless you found it cheap to give it a try.
Quite enjoyed the first Crysis on 360. Graphically it was pretty stunning and I didn't see any major texture pop up like I was expecting with such a vast game.
Think i'll forget about the second game then. Bit of a shame that it isn't as good as this port of the first game.
The Crytek UK (TimeSplitters guys) team did a great job of bring Crysis 1 from Cry Engine 2 to Cry Engine 3. However the comparison is still quite amazing to how well Crysis 1 stands up.
All credit though, Crysis 360 looks fantastic and seems to be technically better than Crysis 2.
