What started as a fun game fast turned into one of the most annoying fuck-fests ive ever played. The story is dire and un-interesting, and the combat system soon grates - i wish id chosen the gun person now as they are by far the most effective way to kill zombies! The last bit of the game is ridiculously hard, i died about 20 times! Since when did zombies carry weapons?!

The game is a co-op game from the ground up.

Well its not just a co-op game since i finished it solo, i dont get much time for online play as my game time is rare so i have to play when i get chance, it was enjoyable at times but really ends up being a chore solo - passed the time till Gears 3 and Dark Souls though

Just picked this up for cheap recently and have been playing through it with a friend. I can't decide if I like this game or not. The countless weapons and weird and wonderful ways you can maim and kill never gets old. The constant fetch quests do though. Playing with a couple of people certainly enhances the experience no end. But dear god the story is bad!
I doubt I will bother with that DLC.

Got the GOTY Edition (not sure why its called that as pretty sure it didn't win any awards, but anyway) for less than £15. So far think its great. I believe its had a lot of patches so prob the best time to buy it. Its really great fun and the co-op works really well. Doing the easier missions solo and going co-op on the harder ones. Think the fetch quests may get boring but so far so good.

Got it again myself for the price, it's quite excellent:)

This game is so much fun, love it so far. The co-op is brilliant, love how a challenging mission can become a cakewalk when you get the right people with you. Also love the way you can slice arms and legs off zombies. Really difficult enemies become useless without any arms

I can imagine the game was a bit of a mess when first released but now its been patched it works great. Also get all the DLC with the GOTY edition.

I picked this up again on Saturday, all because i convinced a friend to pick it up. Loved playing it when it first came out, but as it has been stated, it needs to be played in co-op to really enjoy it. With him as Sam B and me as Logan, we never have to fight over weapons (i go sharp, he goes blunt), i'm speccing to throw my ample amount of variously modded machetes (with 50% chance for them to return) while he get's in and tanks away with impact modded hammers and bats. It's so much better this time around. Usually if we come against a thug he ends up absolutely smashed with every limb broken and 4 or 5 machetes poking out of him like a pin cushion

Urgh, this is still on the list of games I want to get. The problem is that my stack of shame is still pretty damn big and this game is huge.

Now it's a case of: "Do I wait for the new one or wait and pick this up dirt cheap".

I am also in that boat but this is £15 brand new so figured I couldn't go wrong with that

I have it on steam but unless I have some people to play with I don't think ill bother installing it again. It's one of those that should never be played by yourself.

I picked up the GOTY Edition Twin Pack which includes a brand spanking new headset for £15 from Amazon. Pre-ordered it ages ago after seeing it on HUKD... Think the price has jumped up again though.

Enjoying it so far but it is a co-op game. Gets far too repetitive and easy without others... Saying that no one on my FL bloody plays it so... Get it!
