I enjoyed the plot, the writing, and the soundtrack. The gameplay was a means to an end, which is usually the case in most games for me.

Dude. Mass Effect 2 on insanity, and SF4 on the hardest difficulty levels prove you wrong. Old joke, is fucking old.

edit: I would say ME3 on insanity too, but that was a piece of piss.

not slaging you off or joking your pattern is basically

play on easy for story if its good you do several other playthroughs which may be higher difficulty. I'm the complete polar opposite in the sense that I want to go to the highest difficulty I do not like being artificially forced to go through a game on its second highest just to unlock the highest. Its cheap way to extend a games life. Anyway wasn't digging at you its just how you game.

Fair enough. And I agree with it being a cheap way to keep people playing.

Anybody had problems with sound on this game? I'm getting little or no audio all of a sudden. Some gun sounds and explosions remain but all dialogue and music has disappeared. I've tried re loading etc but to no avail. :(

That's a new one to me. The only sound bug I had was when, after killing a guy, the sound of his machine gun was constantly on...

I finished part two today. I'm really enjoying this, it's technically brilliant, looks gorgeous, sounds fantastic, and the story is really starting to draw me in (although it's still a ways off the original Max Payne in that respect). The bulletproof enemies that have started cropping up are a bit silly though, and seem rather out of place. Having them take loads of bullets would be fine, but having them completely immune to anything but headshots just feel wrong here.

Yep, it's cheap as fuck. Thankfully those particular enemies are the only glaringly bad feature of what is otherwise an excellently designed game. :)

Over half my kills are headshots anyway, but it's still stupid. I really noticed it when I came across three armoured guys executing a civilian in part two. I didn't have a lot of Bullet Time at that particular checkpoint so I thought I'd just use my SMG and go for easy body shots on the unsuspecting guys and boost it a bit. I unloaded all 32 bullets and the they just jumped around like they were being electrocuted. It felt so off.

Is there an issue with multiplayer? Each time I load it up, xbox live crashes!

This game has multiplayer?

In fairness, I've read that when it's not full of cheap arseholes, it's good fun. But MP games are always full of cheap arseholes.

In other news, Health's little track 'Pills' makes for a fucking awesome ringtone. :ugeek:
