Games for 3 year olds?

Postby hancocaj on Thu Apr 26, 2012 8:01 pm

Hi,

I was just wondering if any of you know of any "good" games for toddlers? My son is 3 and we have a DS, Xbox (with Kinect) and an iPad....I'm after something fun and/or educational.

We've "played" the river rapids game on kinect adventures, which he joins in with and enjoys but doesnt really get. tried kinectimals demo and sesame street demo but he is still a but young to understand whats going on.

Any good ipad games? he quite likes coloring in and anything that needs basic prodding skills.

Also tried him on the new Trials game, he was fine on the accelerator, not so good at leaning! :D

I don't even really know where to start looking to find out whats out there? :?

any help gratefully recieved

Concentrate on iPad games first, there are plenty of games aimed at toddlers, and my little girls been playing them since she was about 11 months old, she particularly loves the disney interactive books, lots of disney princess ones, but equally Toy Story & Cars etc for the boys, they read the story to them, highlighting the words, and they have little interactive colouring or puzzle sections etc in between.

No messing around. Get "VANQUISH" on Xbox, beat it yourself to unlock the hardest setting, and then let him play it.

You could try Double Fine Happy Action Theatre. It's not so much a game but just a fun toy with Kinect but seems great for young children.

The sesame street game for kinect would be good for him though better if watches it as well.
You might be a king or a little street sweeper, but sooner or later you dance with the reaper.

Any of Popcap's iPad games!!!! Bejeweled and Peggle in particular I can imagine being amazing for 3 year olds.

I always thought that Disneyland kinect game looked impressive but I've never played it so can't really comment on how suitable it would be.

If you get him a PS3, I think he would be amazed by EyePet!
