I like the idea better than XBL.

XBL in essence all your paying for is Online play and cross game chat.

With this thing its more in addition to the free stuff you get anyways, your getting some free games and discounts. Good if your a user of the PSN store or want some free games.

If sony got the cross game chat I think theyd sort out the hardcore xbl crowd who are multi console owners that state cross game chat is a mandatory feature for online gaming, which when it was grand in ye olde xbox days before it was about

Well not really your paying for everything that holds the online play together like matchmaking which is across the entire consoles online enabled games. something PS games still have to figure out on their own.
You just can't beat a unified service.
I will say I think MS seriously need to think about their pricing for online content.
Giving gold members access to great deals could sweaten alot of the woes of paying for a sub.

Actually you're all misinformed or just being ignorant seeing as we had this discussion during E3.

Steamworks is coming to PSN, Steamworks IS Steam, currently the only announced game is Portal 2, however more developers could use Steam's PSN functionality, it's not just updates either, you will get cross communication with the PC/Mac community through PSN's Steamworks, Steamworks & Steam is just a service, people think it's not full steam because you wont get all the Steam games that are available on PC, but the thing is that's the case because they are PC games, if EA decided to release a PS3 game and use Steamworks for updates and community aspects then they could, likewise any other developer, so actually

I tell you what, European PlayStation+ Subscribers are starting to get proper pissed off. Have you seen what the US subscribers have been getting? Today for instance, they got Critter Crunch, Syphon Filter and another Minis game...we got nothing! Last week they got a load of half price games like Echochrome, we got nothing!

It's not fair that the two stores are getting different content. I didn't realise this, I thought we was all gonna get the same stuff...and it sucks getting only 1 update a month and the US getting an update each week. Proper sucks, everyone on the SONY European blog is complaining. I doesn't make sense to me why there isn't just 1 department worldwide that deals with PlayStation+, that way everyone is treated fairly.

Seriously when are people going to stop being retards though? different countries and territories have different rights and different rights holders, they cant just offer a global selection, do you think they want the cost of managing seperate stores? it's purely down to legal matters!
