A Note on the Slowness

Hi,

Just thought I'd put a quick note up about the slowness. We are aware of it, we know the cause and we're working on it.

Last night a switch in our datacenter decided to fry itself and took quite a few servers offline, including BXB. We got a new switch in at just after midnight but it's not up to the spec we usually need so slowness is occuring. We're hunting down a new switch that is up to spec, but it may take a while (maybe evening tomorrow).

So just bare with us, don't go mashing F5 when something isn't loading, just give it a minute and you should be fine.

You may occasionally get error messages appear. We are aware of them.

We're installing a new switch at this very second that should improve things, but it's just a holding measure still, tomorrow we should be totally back to normal service.

I've not really done that much, it's the guys in Derby doing a good job.

I thought it was the reapers disrupting communications.
