Alien prequel to started shooting this month apparently. No longer a 2-parter either, it'll be a standalone film starring The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (Noomi Rapace)and String Bell (Idris Elba)!

This isn't the alien prequel, it's something entirely new. The alien prequel is dead.

It is Alien. It's in the Alien universe and will be canon, it just won't feature any xenomorphs.

Yeah an Alien movie without any Aliens would be a pretty dumb idea really.

I get the impression we're not going to see any Xenomorphs, and this is actually going to feature the space jockeys. I think it's going to explain how the derelict ship ends up on LV-426.

Considering there are no Xenomorphs, I may still be into this... I hope. I still want a GOOD newer film with Xenomorphs. Like maybe a sequal to Aliens, like Aliens: Colonial Marines, that takes place after Aliens but before Alien 3.
