I'm more surprised someone in the UK hasn't picked up Seasons 3 or 4 yet! Madness.

Seasons 1 & 2 didn't do well in the ratings, which I would assume was due to FX and Five sucking ass and not treating them properly (or maybe people are just stupid).

Best thing to happen IMO would be for Sky to somehow buy up the rights to them and shove them on Atlantic. It's the natural place for it, alongside the HBO stuff and other AMC stuff like Mad Men. Whether Sky would do that though is another matter... They may not want to risk it for something which not many people bothered to watch previously on other channels.

Season 1 wasn't on 5. It was on 5 USA. Only about 63 people know that channel even exists!
I dunno. The fact this hasn't been properly aired on a UK network is utterly baffling to me. Especially when you consider some of the tripe that does get aired.
Mind you, I'm glad I only properly discovered this recently. As watching every episode in a few marathon sessions was one of the best viewing experiences I've ever had!

Re: Breaking Bad - TV Series

I'm all finished now too; I've got to agree with Kevin:

Kevin wrote:That final episode was the best Telly I've watched all year!

I honestly feel like that would have been a perfect end to the whole show, I don't think they need another season. Perfect ending, and some brilliant moments!

If that had of been the last ever episode I'd have gone away happy.

Season five predictions: Mike is so going to come back. I very much hope that we get a few Gus flashbacks; I'd really like to know more about what he got up to in Chile. With him being blown up and the DEA no doubt looking into him, I could see it happening.

Okay, now to the questions: Where did 'The Cousins' get the drawing of 'Heisenberg'?

Walt buys his condo outright right? Then a few episodes later the process of buying a business to launder money begins, something which becomes very serious when Skyler gets involved. The whole time they are trying to be as cautious as possible; I just keep thinking: Surely that condo, paid for in cash, is going to be a massive red flag if they ever get audited? The same with Jessie, Saul tries to get him to buy the nail bar so he can safely launder his money, but a few episodes before he paid $400,000 in cash for his aunt's house.

Who got the ricin out of Jesse's cigarette packet? When, how, and who poisoned Brock with the Lily of the Valley? What happens when Brock wakes up and says he didn't eat any berries or plant?

I would have been well happy with that ending as the overall ending too, it was near perfect!

My understanding was, that Walt took the ricin out of Jesse's Cigarette packet and poisoned Brock, in order to make Jesse think it was Gus so that he would kill him. So while all season we saw Gus using Jesse as a pawn to get to Walt, Walt was doing the same thing to get to Gus just we never knew till the very end :) Genius!

But...

Although the final shot of the plant pot implies that Walt poisoned Brock:

- When and how could Walt have removed the ricin?

- When and how could Walt have poisoned Brock?

Season 5:

Yep, Mike is still out there, so must surely come back. Will he want revenge? What made him loyal to Gus? Was it just money, in which case he may not go after Walt and Jesse, or was he loyal and likely to be out for blood?

Ted... Still gotta be some blow back from that. Did Saul's "A-Team" make any attempt to clean up at the scene? Will it look like an accident? Will it look like murder?

Gus flashbacks... Hopefully! The Chile stuff is rather mysterious, and he wouldn't be the first dead character to still appear via flashbacks.

Hank... He *must* find out in the final season. Final episode reveal, with a "Usual Suspects" style montage perhaps? Also, will Hank recover enough to go back to work? How embarrassed will the DEA be that Hank was (mostly) right all along about their "friend of law enforcement" Gus?

Saul... With Gus out the way no need for Saul to do a runner.

Money... what will Walt do now? Unless he starts cooking again, and finds a new big-buyer, the White family will be living legitimately solely from the car wash revenue. Virtually all of his money has gone... $800k for the car wash, $600k for Ted's IRS bill, money for Hank's treatment, money for Walt's treatment, expenses, etc. etc. And as Dog said there's the threat of an audit...

Re: Breaking Bad (TV)

Yep. We know what happened, just none of the how. I hope they explain it somewhat in season 5 because it's the only thing that bothers me with the whole show, especially when you compare it to the masterwork of construction that is season 2. They introduce the ricin cigarette so early on you think it's going to lead somewhere more important than where it ends up. It seems like it ultimately gets in their way.

Speaking of season 2, did you guys know that 'The writers of Breaking Bad planned the storyline for the entire season in advance of filming and knew how the season would end right from the beginning.' It shows. The stuff with Jane, her dad, Walt and the crash was expertly weaved. Season 4 was lacking that, we shouldn't have to be asking these questions. Also: 'The episode names of the first ("Seven Thirty-Seven"), fourth ("Down"), tenth ("Over"), and thirteenth ("ABQ") episodes form a sentence (737 Down Over ABQ)... These episodes all include a mysterious opening teaser in black and white, featuring a scorched pink teddy bear floating in the White's pool.' Upon reading the title 'Seven Thirty-Seven' I thought of a plane, but then that's the figure Walt says he needs to leave his family so I thought nothing more of it. :)

I forgot to mention Ted. Skyler doesn't even know he's dead yet. That's definitely going to come back and bite her in the arse.

I think Walt is going to become the new Gus. With the Cartel decimated and Gus dead there's nobody to produce or distribute meth. Walt and Jessie are going to step into that vacuum. Season 5 could even jump forward in time to them being already established.

I knew season 2 was fully planned out, but didn't pick up on the episode titles, though.

I loved the teasers. The way you thought it was a flashforward to some sort of raid or incident at the White house, only for it to be the NTSB people after the crash. Walt still has that eye too, lol.

The very end of season 5:

Will Walt die, and will it be having finally made enough money?

The cancer could quite easily come back... or of course his own pride and temper could once again put him in the shit... this time permanently.

Just read through all your guys thoughts and questions.
Here's mine.

Walt poisoned Brock surely? He stole the the cigarette when him and Jessie had that fight at Jesse's house. :? Not sure how he poisoned Brock though.

I hadn't actually noticed the titles of the episodes in season 2! Cool. The way the whole of season 2 was done was genius. Its not often a work of fiction makes me jump out my chair and shout "No Fucking Way"! At the TV screen. But that's exactly what I did at the end of season 2.

I also thought Walter was totally gonna tell Jesse he could have saved Jane in The Fly episode. Glad he didn't though

Totally agree that Mike will have a big say in season 5. I reckon his loyalty to Gus was due to far more than the fact he paid his wages. I reckon Gus has done him a huge favour in the past saved his life in some way perhaps?

With regards the drawing of Heisenberg. One of the twins just sketched it themselves from somebody's description?

Also. Ted's definitely dead? :?

But didn't Jesse say he still had the cigarette the next day, so Walt couldn't have stolen it during the fight. I'm sure that was part of Walt's reasoning for how (according to him) he couldn't have done it: he had no opportunity to steal the ricin, or to then use it to poison Brock.

Of course, it seems he did it with that plant instead... but even so, we don't know when or how, and it still doesn't explain the missing ricin.

Jesse still had the ricin the morning of the day Brock got sick. Walt's entire plan rested on Jess thinking it was the ricin, but he couldn't have taken it, so somebody else had to be involved.

Who's description though, the only people besides Jessie to ever see Walt in his Heisenberg get up (the hat and sunglasses) were dead.

Ted is dead, but that doesn't mean he can't still cause problems.
