Britxbox.co.uk (BXB) was created in 2002 by programmer and web-designer Ashley Allen as a place for British Xbox Live gamers to meet and is now one of the longest running dedicated Xbox and Xbox 360 fansites in the UK.
Since it's initial launch the site has continued to see steady growth with a large and buzzing community
The FutureIn 2008, BXB celebrated their sixth anniversary with a relaunch of the site featuring a range of improvements including a completely new look, inspired by the Xbox 360 itself, as well as improved crossover between content and community and new features such as forum achievements.
With even more features launching over the next few months the future is bright for BXB.
To find out more about BXB, head over to our portfolio pages.

Respected by GamersThanks to a long standing and thriving forum community, 26 per cent of our visitors come back to the site more than 200 times a month to take part in discussions and read our content.

He currently works as a software developer for a leading online behavioural marketing company.

Podcast Producer Mark Lawson joined BXB nearly five years ago but has only recently become a member of the editorial team after building his own Podcast from the ground up and helping deliver fresh content from Leipzig 2007.
Working alongside fellow Podcasters Jasper Kashap and Arnold Cook, Mark continues to deliver great Podcast content on a regular basis which has captured a regular audience with the site's users.
There is no "outside of BXB" for him. As he remains as one of the rare people who solely dedicates his life to games and following the games industry. Which is probably a contributor as to why he seems to be bitter about everything.
Writer of the semi-regular 'Covered' series of articles, Richard Worrall has been with BXB since 2002.
Since then he's been on hand to deliver content ranging from news and articles to reviews of games and hardware. Having avidly played videogames since the age of 7, he has over two decades of experience and continues to indulge his interest across all major game platforms.
Outside of BXB, he's a full-time civil servant living in Plymouth. He lives with his partner, Sarah (who can sometimes be found on the BXB forums herself), and two daughters.
Arnold Cook eventually took the plunge and joined the Britxbox forums in October 2006 and two years later was asked to join the BXB team as a news writer when his savvy coverage of E3 was noticed by the boss man.
It was also around this time that Arnold made his first appearance on the BXB podcast, and after striking up a rapport with Producer Mark Lawson and host Jasper Kashap became the third member of the Expansion Pack at the start of 2009.
Outside of BXB and games in general Arnold enjoys the ever futile challenge of consuming all human knowledge and experience, a cold beer on a hot day, and the love of a good woman.
Staff writer Dave Long is a founding member of the community and has been contributing to BXB since the early days with well written, honest reviews.
Although considered as BXB's racing guru, Dave has never shied away from other genres and his expanding portfolio includes dance games and FPS titles. He has also worked alongside the BXB Events Team in the past to support LAN Events and online gaming events.
Away from BXB; Dave is an analyst/programmer with interests including football, motor racing and snowboarding.
Kieran is the new boy when it comes to reviews for BXB but has shown great dedication already even writing a review in a co-codamol induced coma recently due to breaking his collarbone.
If he is not wrinting reviews and battering people on First Person Shooters he can usually be seen wearing all manner of armour and taking to the field for a game of American Football.
Staff writer Leigh Sherval has been contributing to BXB since shortly after the OXM/BXB wars, by the end of which he was considered a hero on both sides.
Although thought to be one of BXB's most enthusiastic members, Leigh actually hates a lot of things and people (SLICKER!), finding only momentary solace in videogames. His gamercard says it all. He never finishes anything, it's all about the chase to release.
Away from BXB; Leigh is an Investigations Coordinator with interests including films, beer and reading books that he's usually too shallow to understand.
Samantha is among the first members of BXB and has long held the title of BXBs first lady.
While we have had our share of females on the site none have put up with us for as long as she has. Always up for games of COD, this lovely lady will arrange any game nights and tournaments people request and will randomly put her own up too.
Away from BXB, Sam has 3 adorable children and a hardworking husband, She has many interests including Non League Football, where she is on the committee of her favourite team, She has recently applied to be a childline volunteer and should be taking that up shortly too. If you want to set up a games night or tournament email her at: Samantha_Gardiner@hotmail.com
Mark had a brief stint as a member of the BXB review team a few years ago, but after deciding the grass looked a little greener elsewhere we parted ways. Though like many of the current staff he was soon to realise his mistake and came back to his rightful home.
His main interests away from gaming are his love for Formula 1 and Swansea City Football Club, though we understand his love of the former we cant quite get why he likes the Swans so much.
